Mehlich-3 extraction
The gold-standard method soil labs across the country rely on. A single Mehlich-3 extraction measures phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, and the micronutrients all at once — so your nutrient levels are lab-grade numbers a professional agronomist would recognize, not a vague "low / medium / high."
Microbiome
DNA sequencing
The same kind of genetic sequencing behind modern microbiome science, pointed at your soil. We read the DNA in your sample to identify the living community inside it — the beneficial microbes and fungi feeding your plants, and the pathogens working against them — and what that community can actually do, like fixing nitrogen or freeing up phosphorus. Almost no consumer soil test looks at biology at all.

Mid-infrared (MIR) spectroscopy
A light-based scan that reads your soil's carbon and texture quickly and consistently — the physical makeup that decides how much water and nutrition your soil can hold. It's how we see the structure of your soil, not just what's in it.
Toxic metals
Inductively coupled plasma (ICP-MS)
For Soil Safety, your soil is digested in acid to release the metals locked inside it, then carried into an argon plasma hot enough to strip electrons from the atoms. A mass spectrometer sorts the resulting ions by weight and counts them element by element — lead is reported down to 1 ppm, against a screening level of 200.
